Sara Stowe began her piano and harpsichord studies with Virginia Black.  She won a Piano Foundation Scholarship to the RCM and was awarded the inter-collegiate Raymond Russell Harpsichord Prize and the RCM Harpsichord Continuo Prize.  Since 2016 she has been funded by the RVW (new commissions) and in 2022 she received grants from the Continuo Foundation with the groups Sirinu and Galliarda.  2022 also saw the award of a grant from the Diana Ambache Foundation to record and perform music by female composers from the eighteenth century (‘An Enlightened Heart’).
